Did you know February is National Children’s Dental Health Month? This month is dedicated to promoting and teaching children about oral health and to help them to develop healthy habits. Smoky Mountain cares about kids and knows that oral health is an important aspect of their overall wellness. That’s why we offer Smoky’s Bravery Awards for kids who visit the dentist. We’ve partnered up with dentists in the community to reward courageous kiddos with a personal pizza for a job well done!

For a lot of little ones, a trip to the dentist can be a bit scary – reclining in a big chair in an unfamiliar room filled with new noises and shiny objects, all while keeping their mouths open wide to allow metal instruments to move around their teeth and gums. We get it, it can be intimidating. To help make visits to your dentist easier for your children, we’ve provided some local dentists with “Bravery Awards” Coupons to give to kids when they visit.

How it Works:

“Bravery Awards” are given to kids from participating dentists after they complete their visit. The coupon is good for kid’s 12 and under to come in and enjoy a Cheese, Hawaiian, Pepperoni or Veggie 8″ personal pizza at Smoky Mountain Pizzeria. This is for children 12 and under and valid Monday through Thursday. This is good with adult purchase, for dine in only.

Here are some healthy smile tips from ADA, Crest and Oral B:

1 – Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste.

2 – Clean between your teeth daily.

3 – Eat a healthy diet that limits sugary beverages and snacks.

4 – See your dentist regularly for prevention and treatment of oral disease.
