SMOKY MOUNTAIN OFFERS LOW-CARB PIZZA
Written by Jeanne Huff
These days, it seems that if you are not on a low-carb diet (Atkins, South Beach) you know someone who is – maybe someone in your family.
If that’s the case, you might want to pick up “The Carb-nomore” Chicken Dijon Pizza at Smoky Mountain Pizza and Pasta.
The Crafty chefs at Smoky Mountain have come up with pizza that fits the daily low-carb count: There are only 6.72-grams of carbs per slice.
The Carbnomore Chicken Dijon Pizza is a 14-incher with a low-carb crust topped with a sauté of chicken and mushrooms in a white wine Dijon cream sauce, fresh Roma tomatoes and scallions.
If your low-carber doesn’t like pizza, or maybe wants some variety, there are other low-carb items that have recently been added to the menu at Smoky Mountain Pizza: Kung Pao Wings covered in a spicy ginger sauce (7.84 carbs per person), Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon Vinaigrette (16.6 grams of carbs), Smoked Pork Roast with a medley of roasted veggies (11.2 grams of carbs) and the Pollo Limone, half a roasted chicken topped with mushrooms in a lemon butter sauce with roasted red peppers, yellow squash and broccoli (15.14 grams of carbs).
You can call in an order and pick it up on your way home, or have it delivered right to your door.
