- Wagon Days – September 2 – 4, 2011. 54th Annual Labor Day celebration honoring the area’s mining heritage, featuring the largest non-motorized parade in the Northwest. The Parade is Saturday.
- Sun Valley Harvest Festival – September 23 – 25, 2011. Join us for the 2nd annual Sun Valley Harvest Festival in celebration of Idaho’s spectacular epicurean bounty and beautiful fall setting. The weekend of events will focus on regional sustainable foods, wines, spirits and will feature cooking demonstrations and presentations by local, regional and guest chefs, as well as wine, spirits, and beer tasting.
- Sun Valley Ice Shows – September 3, 2011 Sasha Cohen, Olympic Silver Medalist. Show starts at dusk
- Great Wagon Days Duck Race – September 4, 2011. The Great Wagon Days Duck Race will take place at Rotary Park in Ketchum from 1-4 p.m. 15,000 ducks will race from the Warm Springs Bridge 1/10 of a mile to Rotary Park and the top placing Ducks will win some great prize packages for their owners. Benefiting Rotary Scholarships, Blaine County Search and Rescue and the Sun Valley Board of Realtors Community Foundations.
- Harriman Ten Miler Trail Run – September 4, 2011. A classic trail run set in one of the most beautiful places in the Wood River Valley. Runners will cruise from Baker Creek to Galena Lodge on the spectacular Harriman Trail, a race suitable for the novice to the experienced.
- Lee Ann Womack – September 9, 2011. Country western singer Lee Ann Womack performs LIVE at the Sun Valley Pavilion.
- Boulder Mountain Bike Tour and closing day for Galena Lodge – September 11, 2011. End of the season party, the Boulder Mountain Bike Tour. Ride your mountain bike, road bike or just drive up to Galena.
- Colin Hay – September 18, 2011. The former lead singer for Men At Work will be at the Sun Valley Opera House. Please note: Colin Hay’s shows contain adult language and material that may not be suitable for all ages or audience members.
- The Gathering – September 22-24, 2011. Sun Valley Resort will host “Gathering” Film and Music Festival. The event will serve as the kick-off party for Sun Valley’s ski season and will bring together a “harvesting “ of top snow sports filmmakers, athletes, sponsors, media and Reggae music. The event will showcase local talent who will vie for the Young Filmmakers Award.
