Sponsors of the annual Zero Fatalities: Safe Kids Fair this weekend will give away 200 helmets and 50 car seats in an effort to draw parents to the event, designed to educate families about how to prevent accidental death and injury.
The South Towne Expo Center, 9575 S. State, will host the free event Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Spiderman will meet and greet guests on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and again at 12:30, 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.
Educational booths for both children and parents will be sponsored by multiple agencies including Molina Healthcare, Unified Fire Authority, Babies ‘R’ Us, Utah Safety Council, The Salt Lake Valley Health Department, DigiKids, Poison Prevention, Salt Lake CAP/ Head Start, Utah Department of Health, Discovery Gateway, Utah Highway Patrol and Primary Children’s Medical Center.
