Smile of the Month – Erich

“Our Mountain Home SMILE of The Month nominee is our very own Erich Anderson! This young gentleman is known throughout the company for his very outgoing personality. There are many reasons to pick Erich for this award but here is just one example; Erick has some people who come in almost every shift he works just to see him. They are a couple who usually come in right before we close but don’t typically order off the menu. Instead they come up with many different or unusual requests like spinach, oil, pine nuts, garlic, parsley, chicken or whatever else sounds good to them that day. Their order changes every time they join us and after Erich goes out to chat with them he then makes it exactly how they want it. What I really enjoy about this is that Erich makes them want to come back every time. For some reason nobody else here can cook their food for them the way Erich can. I believe this is because he personally goes out to chat with them first and then after making them laugh for a couple of minutes he’s off to the kitchen to work on their special order. After eating, the Lady will come to the swinging door of the kitchen every time to say “Thanks Erich, see ya tomorrow!”. Even though it is always right before close, Erich makes sure this order is just as important as any other and he’s happy to cook right up to the second we close. I also like the fact that even though Erich is in the back of the house, on a regular basis we have customers asking for Erich to come out to their tables to thank him for the delicious food he made for them. Erich also does a fantastic job of motivating and helping to train our future SMILEs of tomorrow and always with a super positive attitude.”
